Amprius Technologies, Inc. is at the forefront of transforming electric mobility with its revolutionary silicon anode lithium-ion battery. The Company’s batteries deliver unmatched performance – ultra-high energy density, high power density, extreme fast-charge rate capability, and wide operating temperature – required for aviation, aerospace, defense, and electric vehicles (EV).

 

Amprius’ commercially available batteries deliver up to 450 Wh/kg and 1,150 Wh/L, the industry’s highest known energy density cells available on the market today. The cells leverage a customizable platform, allowing customers to either increase energy content in a battery pack without increasing weight, to reduce weight in applications that target a fixed energy content, or combinations of both.

 

Independent third parties and large reputable companies have verified the battery performance and safety. Based on Amprius’ current level of battery performance and pilot production, the Company will be able to use its proprietary anode technology to deliver battery cells that contain energy density levels that approach 2x the performance of current commercially available graphite cells.

 

The Company’s corporate headquarters is in Fremont, California where it maintains an R&D lab and a pilot manufacturing facility for the fabrication of silicon anodes and cells. To serve significant customer demand for its high-performance silicon anode lithium-ion batteries, Amprius recently signed a lease agreement for an approximately 774,000 square foot facility in Brighton, Colorado that initially provides a potential of up to 5 gigawatt-hours (GWh) manufacturing capacity.

To ensure supply chain security for defense partners, Enovix operates an NDAA-compliant, non-China global footprint. Headquartered in Silicon Valley, California, with advanced material R&D in Hyderabad, India, Enovix manufactures high-durability cells at its 400,000+ sq. ft. facility in Nonsan, South Korea, and is scaling high-volume 100% silicon production at its ISO 9001-certified Fab2 facility in Penang, Malaysia.
